TYLERTOWN, Miss. -
Bogue Chitto (Miss.) extended its winning streak to 11 games with a 32-12 victory over
Dexter (Tylertown, Miss.) on Saturday.
The Bobcats were up 12-6 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by
James Blackwell in the second quarter.
Bogue Chitto expanded its lead to 19 points entering the fourth quarter. BC scored two times in the third, including once on a Blackwell touchdown run.
The Bobcats' most effective player was Blackwell. The senior ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored 12 touchdowns on the season.
Bogue Chitto went into the matchup giving up only 8.7 points per game. The 12 points that the Bulldogs ended with were well below their average of 24.2 coming into the game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 62-48 win for BC.
The loss comes after Dexter defeated Mount Olive 34-16 last week.
