The Stratford Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cy-Fair Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
After a string of five wins, Stratford's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 44-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Memorial. While losing is never fun, Stratford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 451st, while Memorial is ranked 210th).
Cy-Fair won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were beaten by Memorial 56-29. Cy-Fair has not had much luck with Memorial recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Viviyn Mcleod put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored eight points along with four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.
Stratford's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-9. As for Cy-Fair, their loss dropped their record down to 11-15.
Stratford came up short against Cy-Fair in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 52-41. Will Stratford have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
