The Dover Crimson Tornadoes will challenge the Indian Valley Braves at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Indian Valley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Dover, who comes in off a win.
While Dover's victory against Strasburg-Franklin wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Crimson Tornadoes sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Tigers on Tuesday.

Jenna Molk made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 15 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
In other pitching news, Kara Lint looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, Avery Contini was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.
Meanwhile, Indian Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Newcomerstown. That's two games in a row now that the Braves have lost by exactly two runs.
Shelby Gossett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Heavenlee Pall made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Dover pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Indian Valley, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Dover hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .361. However, it's not like Indian Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .322. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Dover's way against Indian Valley in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Dover made off with an 8-2 victory. Will the Crimson Tornadoes repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
