The Carl Hayden Community Falcons came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 63-58 W over Buckeye. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Santino Esquivel, who scored 17 points along with three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Tamar Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
Carl Hayden Community's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-2. As for Buckeye, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-4.
Carl Hayden Community will head out on the road to face off against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Liberty focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. Buckeye won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Glendale at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th.
