The Traders Point Christian Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 62-52 to Mooresville Christian.
Traders Point Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Andrew Hensley, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds, and Kameron Reese who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hensley has scored all season.
Gresh Warren was his usual excellent self, scoring 35 points for Mooresville Christian. Another player making a difference was Gabe Warren, who scored 11 points.
Traders Point Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Mooresville Christian, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Traders Point Christian will square off against Bethesda Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethesda Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully Traders Point Christian likes a good challenge. As for Mooresville Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Calvary Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calvary Christian is on a six-game streak of home wins, Mooresville Christian a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
