For Olentangy Orange, this counts as revenge for the 44-19 defeat Dublin Scioto walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2020.
Dublin Scioto's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Niah Smedley, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds. Smedley scored a full 43.2% of Dublin Scioto's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Alec Rothe was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 20 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Olentangy Orange's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Dublin Scioto, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
