Donna couldn't beat Porter on Friday even though they stacked six runs on them in the fifth inning. The Redskins fell 11-8 to the Cowboys. Even though they lost, the Redskins' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Roydaniel Gomez made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ethan Sanchez, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Meanwhile, Donna North won against Lopez on Tuesday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Chiefs beat the Lobos by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-1. The game was the first time the Chiefs have beaten the Lobos on their field since April 7, 2017.
Kris Ramirez made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He is becoming a predictor of Donna North's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 3-6 when he doesn't). Ramirez was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jesus ?Tony? Dominguez, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. Prince Johnson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
The win got Donna North back to even at 6-6. As for Donna, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Donna hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .340. However, it's not like Donna North struggles in that department as they've averaged .339. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Donna's way against Donna North in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as Donna made off with an 11-1 victory. Do the Redskins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chiefs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
