Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask El Campo). Everything went their way against the Cedar Creek Eagles on Thursday as the El Campo Ricebirds made off with a 13-1 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for El Campo and bumps their season record up to 3-1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cedar Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, El Campo will be playing at home against Almeta Crawford at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. Almeta Crawford's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so El Campo's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cedar Creek, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-0 defeat against Cuero on the 28th.
