Independence is a perfect 10-0 against Garinger since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Garinger came up short against West Mecklenburg on Monday and fell 9-5. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Reiner Hernandez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Six bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Efrain Santana, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Independence's record now sits at 2-5. As for Garinger, their record now sits at 1-6.

Everything went Independence's way against Garinger in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Independence made off with a 12-1 win. Will Independence repeat their success, or does Garinger have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
