The Southeastern Local Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Greenon Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Southeastern Local can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Wednesday. They breezed by Madison Plains at home to the tune of 59-27. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Southeastern Local has posted since December 16, 2023.
Meanwhile, Greenon had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against Greeneview by a score of 47-40.
Southeastern Local's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Greenon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Southeastern Local won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, slipping by Greenon 37-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southeastern Local since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
