Taft lost against Highland back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Saturday. The Wildcats took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Scots. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 While Taft had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20,  25-19.
 Melody Franks paced Taft's offense, picking up three kills. Franks got some help from  Chanlyn Martin and her four assists.  Karmen Gregory and  Rylee Owens kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
Taft's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Highland,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 10-8-3.
 Looking ahead, Taft will face off against McFarland at 6:15  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Highland, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  game,  a  2-0  win against Eastside on the 13th.
