The Hallsville Indians scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Fayette 94-32 on the road. Hallsville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 25 points or more this season.
Fayette's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Payton Oeth, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Carter Vroman, who scored two points along with six rebounds.
Hallsville's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Fayette, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Hallsville will take on Centralia at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Centralia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 288th, while Hallsville is ranked 69th). Fayette on the road again on Thursday and play against Linn at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Hopefully Linn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
