Highland will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Lynnville-Sully at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Highland, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Highland were able to grind out a solid victory over Alburnett last Friday, winning 18-8.
Meanwhile, Lynnville-Sully found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 18-44 punch to the gut against Sigourney-Keota.
Highland's win lifted them to 2-0 while Lynnville-Sully's loss dropped them down to 1-1. We'll see if Highland's success rolls on or if Lynnville-Sully are able to steal their positive momentum.
