Lake Charles College Prep lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Elijah Garrick, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Izayha Brown, who scored ten points.
Iowa's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.9 points per game. As for Lake Charles College Prep, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-8.
Iowa will head out on the road to take on the Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Louis Catholic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Yellowjackets are ranked fifth). As for Lake Charles College Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. Jennings knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully the Trailblazers like a good challenge.
