This season hasn't been kind to the Dunedin Falcons, who are still winless after their 16th matchup. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 76-52 walloping at the hands of Jefferson on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Dunedin has suffered since December 13, 2023.
Despite the loss, Dunedin still got an impressive performance from Aidan Laird, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Johnson, who scored eight points.
It was another big night for Lazzaro Ford, who scored 30 points for Jefferson. Another player making a difference was David Alvarez, who scored nine points.
Dunedin's loss was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 8-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dunedin will take on Palm Harbor University at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Palm Harbor University is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Jefferson, Jefferson and Freedom will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
