Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Resurrection Catholic). They put the hurt on the Perry Central Bulldogs with a sharp 4-1 win on Friday. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Eagles were the better team in the second half.

The victory made it two in a row for Resurrection Catholic and bumps their season record up to 4-4-1. As for Perry Central, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Resurrection Catholic will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pascagoula at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Perry Central will take on West Marion in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
