Fort Calhoun extended the longest winning streak in C1 District 1 this week by beating Wayne, 14-12. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Pioneers.
Fort Calhoun and the Blue Devils played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Fort Calhoun eventually emerging with a 14-12 victory. James Rathjen ran for 77 yards and caught one passes for 13 yards in the win.
Fort Calhoun's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Pioneers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jordan Kann has thrown for 1055 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Jaden Boudle has 34 catches for 579 yards. Rathjen leads the league in rushing with 1053 yards.
Boys Town made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,816 from 5,565. The improvement came about via a 28-22 victory over Falls City last week.
