Suburban One - National recap September 10, 2013
Pennsbury was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in Suburban One - National. The Falcons beat Frankford 43-12 earlier in the week.
Harry S. Truman scaled the state rankings by moving to 299 from 349 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Tigers climbed the ranks as a result of falling to Upper Dublin 21-7.
Cole Creighton was the best wideout in the league this week as Neshaminy bested Downingtown West. Creighton tallied 3 receptions for 51 yards.
Brandon McIlwain put up the best numbers in passing as Council Rock North topped Northeast. He finished with 8 completions for 119 yards.
D'andre Pollard was the most successful running back in Suburban One - National this week. He ran for 138 yards on 21 carries as the Redskins bested the Whippets. Will Dogba also contributed to the rushing game with 55 yards on the ground.
The Indians' McIlwain and James Gemmel have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. McIlwain has thrown for 259 yards this season, while Gemmel has 4 catches for 83 yards. Pollard from Neshaminy leads the league in rushing with 270 yards.
Mark Schmidt's team was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Downingtown West. The Redskins came in at 18 in the state poll after placing at number 41 last week.
