Fredonia posted their biggest win since December 9, 2024 on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Dunkirk Marauders with a sharp 74-53 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Hillbillies just coasted through the last quarter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fredonia to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ashton Putney, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Dowdy, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds.

With the win, Fredonia broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6. As for Dunkirk, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fredonia will head out to square off against Southwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Dunkirk, they will venture away from home to challenge Salamanca at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th.
