The San Jon Coyotes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 51-43 to Non Varsity Opponent. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for San Jon in their matchups with Non Varsity Opponent: they've now lost five in a row.
Several Coyotes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sarah Archuleta, who scored 11 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Archuleta has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last ten times she's played. Charlotte Graham was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
San Jon's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Non Varsity Opponent, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 110-208.
San Jon won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Non Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. San Jon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Non Varsity Opponent is on the road again on Monday and plays HEARTS for Jesus Christ at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th.
