The Plainview Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 28 points or more this season. They blew past Burwell 51-23 on the road.
Plainview's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marque Albin, who scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Madelynn Dougherty, who scored nine points.
Plainview's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Burwell, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Central Valley the next time they take the court. Plainview will head out to face Central Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while Burwell will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
