Ashbrook extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 20-14 W against the South Point Red Raiders. The 20-point effort marked the Greenwave's lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Savion Lindsay and Martino Smith. Lindsay rushed for 76 yards and one TD while Smith rushed for 79 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries. Smith didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made five total tackles (2.0 for loss). Another player making a difference was Aj McClain, who rushed for 47 yards.
Ashbrook was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 202 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 177 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
As for South Point, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1. The defeat was just more heartbreak for they who fell 31-28 when the teams previously met back in October of 2024.

Ashbrook wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 44-0 win against North Gaston on the 26th. As for South Point, they have also already played their next game, a 53-6 victory against Huss on the 26th.
