It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Medora Hornets can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 73-21 loss at the hands of the Cougars. Medora's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Medora lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brelee Underwood, who scored ten points along with two steals. Jenna Bowers was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds.
Trinity Lutheran was led to victory by Marley Warren and Liza Froedge. Warren scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Froedge scored 20 points along with two steals. Froedge is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 17 or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Brewer, who scored eight points along with nine assists and five rebounds.
Medora has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Trinity Lutheran, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Medora does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Trinity Lutheran's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd.
