Softball Recap: Burr Oak Extends Winning Streak to Three

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Burr Oak nor Climax-Scotts made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Panthers. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

The win was the third in a row for Burr Oak, bringing their record up to 11-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Climax-Scotts, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burr Oak will take on Plainwell at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Climax-Scotts, they will face off against Hackett Catholic Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
