Gilmer (Texas) trailed
Henderson (Texas) by 17 points at one time, but managed to come all the way back and secure a 41-34 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown, the Lions went into halftime with a 31-28 lead. The Buckeyes took the lead for good with a
Trey Washington touchdown pass to
Tanner Barr in the third quarter.
Barr stood out for Gilmer in the win. The junior quarterback threw one touchdown, ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown. He has now scored seven touchdowns on the season.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 35-20 win for GHS.
The defeat comes as a step back for Henderson, which notched a 64-35 victory over Celina in its previous outing.
