Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Pisgah walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Ledford Panthers on Friday as they made off with a 53-33 victory. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 contests by 20 points or more this season.
Pisgah found their leader in freshman Brooklyn Bryson, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds. Those 15 boards set a new season-high mark for Bryson. Rylee Campbell was another key player, putting up 13 points.
Pisgah smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 22 consecutive matchups.
Ledford's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kiya Autry, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds, and Izzy Smith, who posted seven points along with 12 boards and five blocks. Smith is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 16 games she's played.
Pisgah's win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.8 points. As for Ledford, their loss dropped their record down to 20-7.
Pisgah has already played their next game, a 52-48 defeat against Oak Grove on the 4th. Ledford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
