Loris' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but KHALID SHERMAN led the charge by scoring eight points along with three steals. SHERMAN hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was TYLER BROWN, who scored five points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Aynor still got an impressive performance from Austin Tanyika, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tanyika has scored all season. Robinson Mendez was another key contributor, scoring four points along with nine rebounds.
Loris is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Aynor, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Loris will challenge Dillon at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Dillon will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive. As for Aynor, they will head out on the road to take on Manning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Manning presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Aynor in South Carolina (Manning is ranked 120th, while Aynor is ranked 286th).
