The Eastern Hancock Royals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Blue River Valley 72-24 at home. Eastern Hancock's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Leading Eastern Hancock to victory were Sammie Bolding and McKenzie Koch. Bolding scored 17 points along with four steals, while Koch scored 23 points along with seven steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Koch has scored at least 25% of Eastern Hancock's points. Camryn Andrus was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Eastern Hancock pushed their record up to 15-1 with that victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.71 points. As for Blue River Valley, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
Eastern Hancock will be playing in front of their home fans against Union County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Union County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 265th, while Eastern Hancock is ranked 31st). Blue River Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Tri at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Hopefully Tri focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Thursday.
