On Friday, St. James was the victim of a tough 37-14 loss at the hands of Gettysburg. St. James has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Claire Barnes and Tenley Mullendore certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Barnes scored 6 points, while Mullendore scored 6 points. Barnes scored a full 42.9% of St. James' points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
St. James' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Gettysburg, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
St. James will head out on the road to face off against York County Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Gettysburg will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Waynesboro at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
