The Woodcreek Timberwolves will head out on the road to take on the River Valley Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodcreek is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Thursday, Woodcreek didn't have too much trouble with the Broncos on the road as they won 60-42. Given Woodcreek's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Broncos are ranked 527th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Woodcreek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aidan Triplet out in front who scored 15 points. Tyler Hennessey was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, River Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 68-47 walloping at the hands of Antelope.
Woodcreek is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. As for River Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.
Everything went Woodcreek's way against the Falcons in their previous matchup back in January as the Timberwolves made off with a 68-45 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodcreek since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
