After a string of seven wins dating back to last season, the Pocono Mountain East Cardinals's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 68-54 bruising from East Stroudsburg South. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pocono Mountain East has scored all season.
Jaen Chatman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for East Stroudsburg South, scoring 38 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The contest was Chatman's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mareek Williams, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Pocono Mountain East's loss dropped their record down to 6-1. As for East Stroudsburg South, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
Pocono Mountain East will be home for the holidays to greet Wallenpaupack Area at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wallenpaupack Area will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for East Stroudsburg South, they will head out on the road to face off against Bethlehem Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bethlehem Catholic is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
