Fredonia is 2-8 against the Chargers since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Fredonia Yellowjackets will look to defend their home court against the Cherryvale Chargers at 6:00 p.m.
Last Tuesday, Fredonia was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-41 to the Blue Streaks. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fredonia in their matchups with the Blue Streaks: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Cherryvale can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They breezed by Erie on the road to the tune of 65-32. Winning may never get old, but Cherryvale sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Fredonia's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-2. As for Cherryvale, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Fredonia came up short against the Chargers when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 60-53. Can Fredonia avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
