The Leipsic Vikings won the last time they faced the Crestview Knights, and things went their way on Friday too. Leipsic put the hurt on Crestview with a sharp 49-28 win. With Leipsic ahead 35-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Crestview's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Braxton Leeth, who rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Zayden Martin, who rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Leipsic's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Crestview, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leipsic will take on Pandora-Gilboa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pandora-Gilboa is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Crestview, they will head out on the road to face off against Calvert at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Calvert will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
