The North East Indians were the 61-30 winner over the Tome Titans when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. North East lost to Tome on the road by a decisive 46-32 margin on Wednesday.
Tome found their leader in underclassman Spencer Cain, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Cain is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Herold Beljour Jr., who scored 14 points.
North East's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Tome, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
North East will be playing in front of their home fans against Perryville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tome, they will head out on the road to face off against ASPIRA Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
