The Grant Generals will head out on the road to challenge the Enid Plainsmen at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 22 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Grant and four for the Plainsmen.
On Saturday, Grant took a serious blow against the Sandites, falling 77-23. While losing is never fun, Grant can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while the Sandites are ranked 44th).
Meanwhile, Enid pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 65-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Charles Page.
Grant dropped their record down to 0-19 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Enid, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Grant was dealt a bruising 97-52 loss at the hands of the Plainsmen in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Grant avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
