The McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers and the Clinch County Panthers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers had to settle for second. McIntosh County Academy ended up on the wrong side of a tough 38-14 walloping at the hands of Clinch County. McIntosh County Academy has struggled against Clinch County recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Clinch County to victory were Jeremy Bell and Aaron Bryant. Bell rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, while Bryant rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
McIntosh County Academy bumped their record down to 4-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.0 points per game. As for Clinch County, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
McIntosh County Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Clinch County will take on Seminole County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
