Jarek Hilgers ran for three touchdowns and
Kaleb Germinaro added two as well as
Desert Vista (Phoenix, Ariz.) bested Dobson (Mesa, Ariz.) 49-0 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Matt Young touchdown pass to
Nick Farina in the first quarter, the Thunder led 28-0 at the half.
Desert Vista expanded its lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. DV scored two times in the third, including once on a Germinaro touchdown run.
The Phoenix school came into the game allowing 15.9 points per game. The zero points that the Mustangs ended with were well below their average of 8.9 coming into the game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 56-0 win for the Thunder.
In a non-conference game next week Desert Vista (7-2) takes on Chandler, and Dobson (1-8) will go up against Gilbert in a I Section II game.
