They blew past Grove Christian School, posting a 58-13 win at home. 58 seems to be a good number for Richmond Christian as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Leading Richmond Christian to victory were Morgan Trimble and Kailah Carter. Trimble scored 16 points along with eight steals and five assists, while Carter scored 34 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carter has scored all season. Jillian Gravatt was another key contributor, scoring two points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Grove Christian School saw an underclassman step up: Sidney Fisher almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. Fisher has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last seven times she's played.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Grove Christian School struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Richmond Christian racked up 11 assists.
Richmond Christian pushed their record up to 14-3 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.3 points. As for Grove Christian School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.
Richmond Christian will look to defend their home court on Monday against Fuqua at 6:30 p.m. Fuqua comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Grove Christian School, they will head out on the road to square off against The New Community School at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
