Union Pines had won four straight games and Ashanti Fox did her part to make it five on Tuesday. Everything went the Union Pines Vikings' way against the Gray's Creek Bears as the Union Pines Vikings made off with a 70-44 win thanks in part to Fox, who went 12 of 21 on her way to 36 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Union Pines' points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Alley Hise, who posted eight points. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

When it comes to explaining why Gray's Creek lost, don't look at Chloe Hall. Despite the final result, she had 14 points. Kaitlyn Hopkins was another key player, putting up nine points.

Union Pines' victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Gray's Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Union Pines wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-33 win against Lee County on the 6th. As for Gray's Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-22 victory against Red Springs on the 4th.
