The Arcadia Titans have not lost a match since January 16th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Mesquite. Emmie Formanek had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Arcadia.
Arcadia's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those three games. As for Mesquite, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Arcadia will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Paradise Honors at 6:00 p.m. on February 14th. Paradise Honors knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Arcadia likes a good challenge. Mesquite is on the road again on Saturday and plays Seton Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Mesquite is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season.
