Valliant has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Fort Towson Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Towson took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Valliant, who comes in off a win.
Valliant put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They blew past Antlers, posting a 62-25 win at home. Given Valliant's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Antlers is ranked 234th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Fort Towson suffered their biggest loss since November 2, 2023 last Friday. They were beaten by Wright City 74-37.
Valliant is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. As for Fort Towson, they bumped their record down to 6-12 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Valliant against Fort Towson in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 73-18 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Valliant since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
