Columbia's BRODERICK THOMAS recorded the longest rushing play in 3A Region III District 24 this season in his game against KIPP Sunnyside last week. THOMAS ran for 85 yards on the play and finished with 117 on the day as his team topped KIPP Sunnyside.
Columbia's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. WILLIS JOHNSON threw for 60 and one touchdown and SAM CLINCH had 45 yards receiving. On the ground FLOYD BESS chipped in 168 yards.

JOHNSON has thrown for 455 yards and four touchdowns this season, while JARIUS KESEE has 12 catches for 174 yards. BESS leads the league in rushing with 1186 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place La Marque takes on second place Columbia. La Marque topped Bishop Lynch last week, while Randy Lynch's team bested KIPP Sunnyside.
