Mountain View's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Omar Nevarez, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points and five steals. Nevarez continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Slosar, who posted 12 points and five assists.
Mountain View was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February.
Meanwhile, Canutillo waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They had just enough and edged the Indians out 44-42.

As for Mountain View, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12.
Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Slosar and Austin Bonilla. Slosar has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 8.6 points, 3.8 steals, and 3 assists. For his part, Bonilla has averaged 10.9 points, 3.5 steals, and 6.1 assists.
