New Bern waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the New Hanover Wildcats as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Thursday.

New Bern was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-13.

Louisa Reno paced New Bern's offense, picking up seven kills. Reno got some help from Naomi Banks and her 19 assists. Kira Follet controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

New Bern's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for New Hanover, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Bern will host West Craven at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Hanover, they will take on North Brunswick at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season.
