On Saturday, the Richfield Wildcats faced the Beaver Beavers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Richfield was the clear victor by a 52-32 margin over Beaver. The win was nothing new for Richfield as they're now sitting on four straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Richfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hallie Janes, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 2 assists. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Knutson, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Richfield is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Beaver, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richfield will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Emery at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. Emery has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games. As for Beaver, they will head out on the road to face off against Millard at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Millard will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Beaver is ranked 17th).
