Softball Recap: Perry County Central Has No Trouble Against Belfry

Perry County Central got themselves on the board against Belfry on Wednesday, but Belfry never followed suit. They blew past the Pirates 14-0. The Commodores might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

Perry County Central got a massive performance out of Alyssa Dixon, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Dixon has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Taylan Hoskins, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Perry County Central has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Belfry, they moved to 12-8 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Perry County Central will take on Bracken County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Belfry, they will host Shelby Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
