Tristen Sylvester posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. He struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Sylvester's strong effort led Pine View over Hurricane and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
