After a string of three wins, Lakeview's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rocky Grove Orioles. If the Sailors were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Orioles when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
While Lakeview had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 22-25, 25-21.

Lakeview's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 12-5. As for Rocky Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
