Softball Recap: Davie Has No Trouble Against Mount Tabor

Davie had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Mount Tabor on Monday. The War Eagles put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 13-3 win. Considering the War Eagles have won nine contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Davie is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Mount Tabor, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Davie will take on Reagan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the War Eagles 3.9, the Raiders 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Mount Tabor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
