While losing is never fun, Central Magnet can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while Lawrence County is ranked 37th).
Meanwhile, Franklin County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 73-54 bruising from Marshall County. Franklin County has not had much luck with Marshall County recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Central Magnet's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-9. As for Franklin County, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
